Getting design specifications right for a publishing project, whether print on web-based, is vital for improving the document’s readability even if the publication consists entirely of text. The page layout, paragraph spacing, line spacing, typeface, and treatment of headers and footers can greatly improve readability and therefore the comprehension of the information by readers.
If content is to be presented in both print and online, the design specifications for each delivery method should be complimentary.
