Bold Type managed a complete re-development for Liza McKilliam’s real estate website.
This included a complete overview of the content and its presentation, a new website design, a change of web hosting company that will save on host facilities that the website does not use or need, improved search engine optimisation and an analytics program to assess visitor traffic.
I love that the new website is so easy to add content to the site. This will help my support team enormously and save so much time and money.

Real estate websites need lots of bells and whistles to make them work properly. Property lists need to be accessible to sellers and buyers. A special feature of Liza’s website is the additional information to help sellers and buyers of real estate make better decisions.
The Living Silk website development was a revamp of an existing static website to a dynamic system that the client can manage themselves.
The website is run using Wordpress, open source software which was voted the number one system for dynamic websites in 2009.
Bold Type web developers produced this unique website in the Wordpress program adding and adapting coding to make sure the new website maintains Living Silk’s branding and functionality for Living Silk’s particular requirements.
The admin console that runs the website is easy to use. Every page is editable, for example, images of new outfits can be easily added with the click or two on the keyboard. The news pages allow Living Silk to keep their web visitors up to date with fashion news and the ‘email friends’ function allows visitors to send the image of any outfit to friends and families. This is particularly relevant when brides want their bridesmaids to see a particular gown.
Most importantly, Bold Type websites are very search engine optimisation friendly which means that our websites get more hits (and more clients).
The Glitterbox website is up and running. It’s been an interesting build because we wanted it have a very particular look and feel that captures the essence of a hairdressing business in Newtown and also captures the essence of the salon itself.
The best part about creating a unique website such as this one for Glitterbox is that the combined talents of a great design, content and development team (three exceptionally talented people in their own fields) can make a website that noone else in the world will have.
Because Bold Type also put together a comprehensive web presence for Glitterbox, the business doubled within weeks of the development process starting. Now, with their own self-managable website, not even the roof will limit business growth.

The brief for this website was to capture the Glitterbox, Newtown experience and to create something out of the ordinary. This placeholder homepage was designed to replace the normal boring ‘This website is under construction’.
